Dr. David Chaplin, Associate Professor of Economics in the School of Business, and Dr. John Harris, Lecturer in International Sport and Event Management in the Department of Business Management at Glasgow Caledonian University, have had their work “Pugilistic Pastoring: Volunteering in Amateur Boxing as Missionary Work” accepted for publication in “Fighting: Intellectualising Combat Sports” and is scheduled to be published September, 2013. It will be edited by Dr. Keith Gilbert, Professor in the School for Health, Sport and Bioscience at University of East London (U.K.). The book chapter is based on a paper Dr. Chaplin presented at the British Society for Sports History (Scottish Network) Symposium in Glasgow, June 8, 2013.
